The Grand Chief Imam of Ikorodu Division, His Eminence Sheikh Seifudeen Olowo-Oribi, has urged the newly constituted executives of Ikorodu Muslim Community Association (IMCA) on the need to focus on positive leadership virtues of sincerity, consultation, unity and dedication, if they are to administered effectively.
Sheikh Olowo-Oribi gave the charge during the week when the IMCA executives paid him a courtesy and familiarization visit at his Ijomu residence in Ikorodu.
The purpose of the visit was to thank the Chief Imam for his presence and fatherly role during the recent inauguration of the new IMCA executive council, familiarising the leadership with the office of the Chief Imam, and seeking his prayers and continued spiritual support as the executives commenced their tenure.

The revered religious leader, in his remarks, appreciated the visit and charged the executives to remain steadfast in sustaining the goals and ideals of the Ikorodu Muslim Community Association, while he emphasized sincerity, consultation, unity, and dedication to service as essential virtues for effective leadership.
The Chief Imam offered prayers to the executives for divine guidance, wisdom, and success for the new executive council, urging them to discharge their duties with the fear of Allah, and a strong sense of responsibility to the Muslim Ummah.
Speaking earlier, the Coordinator of IMCA, Imam Abdul Hafeez Abojututu, described the engagement as both symbolic and necessary.

“We considered it important to pay Baba, a courtesy and familiarisation visit. His presence at our inauguration was a great honour to us, and we are here to seek his prayers and guidance as we begin this responsibility, while reaffirming our commitment to sustaining the vision and objectives of IMCA”, he said.
The executives also offered special prayers for the successful hosting of the forthcoming 70th birthday and 20th Imamate anniversary of the Chief Imam. They prayed that Allah grants him long life, sound health, and continued strength in his service to Islam and the Ikorodu Muslim community.
